Exploratree is a free graphic organizer creation tool. Exloratree users can use pre-made graphic organizer templates which Exploratree refers to as “thinking guides” or create their own templates. The Exploratree thinking guides can be used online or downloaded and printed for offline use. Thinking guides can be created collaboratively on Exploratree which makes Exploratree a good tool for students working in groups to design projects together.
Applications for Education
One of the things I like about Exploratree is the wide range of templates that are offered to students. As we know, not all students process information the same way. Exploratree’s wide range of templates provides students with the option to pick a thinking guide that fits them best.
Creating and completing graphic organizers is a great pre-writing activity for students to gather and organize their thoughts. Collaboratively creating graphic organizer with students is also a good way to have students make study guides or prepare a presentation.
