2lingual is a new website that allows users to search and translate search results in 552 bilingual combinations. Users enter their search terms in English and the results will appear in English along side the search results in a second language. Users can enter their search terms in a language other than English and have the results translated into English. The screen capture below illustrates the results page that appeared when I selected English to Spanish and entered the term “fishing.”

Applications for Education
2Lingual could be a great resource for foreign language and ESL teachers. The ability to search in one language and read results in another may be helpful for students learning a new language.
