One Cheeseburger = 15,000 Google Searches

While this post does have a potentially useful factoid in it, it is definitely the least serious post I’ve ever written.

As this commercial informed us in the 1980’s, the world may never know how many licks it takes to get to the center of a Tootsie Pop. The answer to that problem might remain a mystery forever, but thanks to Google I don’t have to worry about how many Google Searches it takes to equal the amount of CO2 produced by the manufacture of a cheeseburger. Going Green at Google is Google’s website designed to explain the measures they’re taking to reduce their carbon footprint. Going Green at Google’s homepage features a chart depicting how many Google searches it would take to equal the CO2 produced by routine activities and everyday products.
