This is day four of How-to Week on Free Technology for Teachers. So far this week we’ve looked at how to create a wiki, how to create a blog, and how to use Drop.io. Today, I have a screencast about creating a free website using Yola. I chose Yola for this demonstration simply because it is the service I use for my department website at school. There are many other good, free website services that you can try. You can find a list of other easy-to-use, free website builders here.
You may be asking, “why would I build a website instead of a blog or wiki?” By building a website you can combine static pages for reference that will always appear in your navigation tab(s). With most website building tools you can also integrate a blog into your website.
The video below demonstrates how to create a website for free using Yola.
